A slide surface seal for laterally sealing a pressure cushion formed between a pressure plate and a metal belt advancing parallel to the plate in a moving belt laminating machine operating according to the pressure cushion principle, the seal being arranged to be mounted in a groove formed in the pressure plate and to bear against the metal belt to laterally surround the pressure cushion and to establish a fluid seal between the plate and the belt and the seal being composed of a seal mount of rigid material arranged to be inserted in the groove, at least one sealing strip secured to the mount and arranged to bear against the belt for maintaining a gap of minimum width between the seal and the belt, and an elastic sealing member secured to the mount adjacent the side of the sealing strip directed toward the interior of the pressure cushion and arranged to bear against the belt for maintaining losses of pressure medium from the cushion at a minimum.

The invention relates to mechanical engineering, in particular to the design of sealing assemblies of presses with an endless belt. An elastic seal of sliding surfaces for presses with an endless belt is known, containing a cuff mounted in the radial groove of the casing and a mandrel with flat gaskets, in contact with the endless belt passed through the press chamber filled with the working medium. The endless band is sealed into the chamber with two elastic pads ij. A disadvantage of the known device is insufficient tightness. The purpose of the invention is to increase the reliability of. improved tightness. This goal is achieved by the fact that the elastic sealing of sliding surfaces for presses with an endless belt, containing a cuff mounted in the radial groove of the body and a mandrel with two elastic pads in contact with the endless belt passed through the press chamber filled with working medium, is provided with an additional cuff a spacer spring and a cord with a fastener lock, a reinforced metal mesh, and a groove in the frames, with an additional cuff mounted in the case: along its periphery with Possibility of interaction with endless ribbon. the cord is mounted between the gaskets, and its fastening lock is placed in the groove of the mandrel, while in the case between the elastic gasket and the additional cuff, a channel is made to drain the working medium leaks. The elastic seal contains cuff 2 placed in housing 1 and a mandrel 3 on which elastic gaskets 4 and 5 are mounted, as well as a cord 6 with a fastening lock 7 reinforced with a metal mesh 8 and placed in a groove 9 of the mandrel 3. The cuff 2 is fixed in the mandrel 3 at assistance of the spacer spring 10. On the periphery of the housing 1, an additional cuff 11 is installed with a spring 12 facing the atmosphere. The gaskets 4 and 5, the cord b and the additional cuff 11 are in contact with the endless belt 13 passed through the chamber filled with the working medium. Between the tape 13 and the housing 1 there are gaps 14 and 15, and the CAVITY of the gap 15 through the channel 16 in the housing 1 is in communication with the atmosphere. Elastic seal works as follows. When operating with the working pressure of the mandrel 3 with the rings 4 and 5 and the cord 6, they are pressed with the help of the cuff 2 onto the endless belt 13, thus creating a tight joint. Leakage of the working medium is discharged through channel 16.
